According to the ACHC, IDCR and the DDKC a golden retriever and labrador retriever mix or hybrid is called a golden labrador not because of it's color but because is is half golden retriever and half labrador retriever. The AKC recognizes this hybrid as a Goldador but for most people it is just easier and makes more sense to call them a Golden labrador. I agree with JR.
